A lighting ceremony and torch run to bring attention to Missouri’s Olympic style sports festival makes a stop in Hannibal Tuesday.

Officials with the Show-Me State Games and Shelter Insurance visit Central Park in Hannibal for the ceremony at 4 p.m., with a torch run through the downtown area to follow.

The Show-Me State Games take place in Columbia over three weekends, beginning June 16th, July 21st and July 28th.

The Hannibal stop is the fifth of ten torch runs in preparation for the games. The remainder of the schedule includes stops in St. Charles, Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, Jefferson City and Columbia.
