The Lighthouse Challenge raises money to go toward the purchase of learning tools, such as tablets, that assist families with their autistic child.

The "challenge" is to raise money by doing as many laps up and down the 244 steps from the Tom and Huck statue to the lighthouse as possible.

The event also includes a kids carnival, which is sponsored by Hannibal Regional Medical Group.
