Shepard Venue Change

(PALMYRA)—A change of venue is granted in the trial of former Palmyra High School teacher Randy Shepard. Judge Rachael Bringer says she’ll move the trial to Monroe County. The 40 year old Shepard is charged with second degree statutory rape… second degree statutory sodomy and sexual contact with a student by a teacher. Shepard is asking that his 100-thousand dollar bond be reduced so he might care for his wife who suffers from epilepsy and cannot drive. Judge Bringer is taking that request under advisement. Shepard’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 21.
