Shelbyville Man Killed in Crash on US 36

A Shelbyville man is dead following a collision on US 36 five miles east of Macon at 5:17 Monday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 84 year old Albin Covington of Shelbyville was eastbound in the west bound lanes when he collided with a westbound car driven by 17 year old Katelynn Sizemore of Clarence. Troopers say Covington was pronounced dead at Samaritan Hospital in Macon. Sizemore was taken to Samaritan Hospital and then by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.
