A total of seven people were hurt and a couple were ticketed as the result of traffic crashes in the area over the weekend.

A Hannibal man suffers minor injuries in a single vehicle crash at 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Highway MM west of Hannibal.

The Highway Patrol reports 48 year old Omar Lopez was westbound when he swerved to miss a deer. Lopez’ pickup ran off the road and overturned.

Lopez was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

 

Four Hannibal residents suffer moderate injuries in an ATV crash on Truman Lane northeast of Perry at 5:01 p.m. Saturday.

The Highway Patrol reports an ATV operated by 20 year old Kameron Christal was eastbound when he lost control on a curve. The ATV ran off the road, became airborne and struck a tree, ejecting all the occupants.

Christal and his three passengers, 18 year old McKenzie Campbell, 20 year old Thomas Rodgers and 21 year old Brooklyn Watson, were taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

 

A Quincy woman suffers minor injuries and is ticketed as the result of a one car crash on Highway 24 at N 84th in Adams County at 6:42 p.m. Sunday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports 30 year old Jodi Gravitt was westbound when she fell asleep at the wheel. Her car ran off the road, struck a guard rail and went down an embankment.

Gravitt was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment. She was also ticketed for improper lane usage and DUI-Drugs.

She was released on a notice to appear.

 

One driver is hurt and ticketed as the result of a two vehicle crash on Highway 104 at the Plainville Blacktop at 5:36 p.m. Saturday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports 26 year old Cassandra Singleton of Pittsfield attempted to turn west from the Plainville Blacktop onto Highway 104. Her car was struck by an eastbound minivan driven by 25 year old Heaven Schoonover of Liberty.

Schoonover was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Singleton was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
