Fire early Sunday morning damages a house at 3000 Sunnyside Avenue in Hannibal.

Fire crews arrived to find flames engulfing the front of the house. Working smoke alarms alerted four adults and three children. They escaped safely. Hannibal Fire Captain Mark Kempker says flames were brought under control in about fifteen minutes and that crews were on the scene until around 8 a-m with overhaul and salvage work. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
