Illinois State Police say a recent roadside safety check in Adams County netted one DUI arrest and six other arrests on alcohol or drug related charges.

The safety check resulted in a total of a dozen citations or arrests and two written warnings. Troopers say the roadside checks are designed to remove impaired drivers from the road. Other violations such as driving while suspended or revoked… operating without valid registration and failure to use a seat belt may also result in enforcement action.
