Attention Missouri seniors: Medicare Part D enrollment time has arrived, and Missouri residents can get free, unbiased assistance in reviewing coverage options.

Sandy Dailey of CLAIM, or Community Leaders Assisting the Insured of Missouri says a review is not just for those new to the prescription drug program. Insurance companies may change their drug coverage from one year to the next, so everyone is encouraged to evaluate their options annually.

Dailey says there are thirty-one Part D plans approved for Missourians this year, and a review can sometimes afford some significant savings. She has seen savings as high as a couple of thousand dollars just by switching companies!

Dailey and her team were in the area last week assisting seniors with reviewing Part D and Medicare Advantage plans at meetings co-sponsored by state representative Lindell Shumake.

Dailey says there are more opportunities to get face-to-face help coming up: CLAIM reps will be in Moberly on October 25th, Mexico on October 30th, Monroe City on November 8th, and Louisiana, November 13th. There is also help available in Hannibal at Douglass Community Services.

The deadline to make changes to Medicare Part D Plans is December 7th. For more information or to set up an appointment, call 1-800-390-3330.
