Senator McCaskill Behind NRA Petition

(WASHINGTON)--U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill is behind an online petition which urges the NRA to be part of the solution to stop future mass killing. The Missouri Democrat says the right to own guns isn’t the issue. She says what is needed are “common sense” laws which respect the right, but prevent the mass slaughter of innocent Americans. The National Rifle Association called for armed security guards to be kept in place at all U.S. schools at a news conference earlier today.
