Missouri’s junior senator came to Hannibal Wednesday to listen to city officials’ frustrations about over regulation by government agencies.

Senator Roy Blunt toured the Hannibal Wastewater Treatment Plant, and heard from BPW officials about the possibility of that facility having to be completely replaced because of EPA regulations.

During his visit, Blunt also discussed his Enforce the Law Act. The proposed law would give Congress legal standing in going to court to compel the executive branch to carry out the laws passed by Congress.

The bill has passed the House and awaits action in the Senate.
