The Hannibal and Quincy Salvation Army’s Christmas Campaigns are in the home stretch and are within striking distance of reaching their goals.

Salvation Army officials report that as of Tuesday afternoon, the Hannibal campaign had raised $90,867 of its $100,000 goal.

The Quincy campaign has a bit farther to go, having raised $371,724 toward its goal of $400,000.

Money raised during the Christmas campaign helps provide Christmas food baskets, toys for children, delivery of gifts to nursing homes and shut-ins and community holiday meals, along with other social service programs.

You can make a tax deductible donation to the Salvation Army by contacting the Quincy office at 405 Vermont.

The Salvation Army Christmas campaign ends Saturday.
