Route M-M and Veterans Road Crash Injures Five

(HANNIBAL)—A two vehicle crash at Route M-M and Veterans Road at 8:40 Wednesday evening results in injuries for five people. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a car driven by 16 year old Chelisa Deere was southbound on Veterans Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign. Deere’s car collided with a pickup truck driven by 53 year old Rickey Thomas of New London. Thomas sustained moderate injuries as did a passenger in the Deere car—13 year old Jacob York of Hannibal. Deere and two other passengers—14 year old Trenton Forster and 15 year old Makenzie Morris—all of Hannibal sustained minor injuries. All five people were taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
