Retired Teacher to Stand Trial for Sex Assault

A retired teacher who allegedly confessed to a pair of sexual assaults because he thought the statute of limitations had expired will stand trial in St. Louis County next year.

KSDK-TV reports that 68-year-old Don Ingerson of Ely, Minn. is charged with rape and statutory sodomy involving a 16-year-old girl in 1974 and a 15-year-old girl 21 years later. He is scheduled to go to trial in February.

Ingerson was a biology teacher and coach at several school districts in the St. Louis area.
