Regatta Returns to Quincy After 63 Year Absence

(Quincy, IL)—A sporting event absent for 63 years returned to Quincy on Saturday. Over 70 contestants took part in The Quincy Five Miler regatta featuring non-motorized watercraft such as canoes and kayaks. Boaters raced from Hogback Island to the South Side Boat Club, a distance just over 5 miles, to the cheers of spectators enjoying the pleasant fall weather.
