Marion County Prosecutor Tom Redington is appointed as Associate Circuit Judge in Knox County. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon’s office made the announcement Wednesday. Redington was elected as Marion County Prosecuting Attorney in 1996. Prior to election, he was an attorney in private practice.

“Tom Redington has been a great public servant as the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney, and I know he will continue that outstanding public service on the bench in Knox County,” Gov. Nixon said. “I am pleased to appoint him as the county’s new Associate Circuit Judge.”

Redington fills the vacancy created by the retirement of the Judge William Alberty.
