The storms that recently covered parts of the U.S. with snow won't be enough to ease the nation's drought. Climatologists say it would take an absurd amount of snow to undo the damage inflicted by one of the driest years on record. It takes about a foot of snow to equal an inch of water, depending on the snow's density.
