Officers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Marion County Sheriff's Department, and Monroe City Police Department were called to assist in a search Tuesday morning for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 36-year-old woman. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop B officers were requested to assist with locating Jack Jason Greathouse, 38, of rural Ralls County.

The search began at approximately 11:50 a.m. A pickup belonging to Greathouse was located by a patrol aircraft in a field southeast of Monroe City, in rural Ralls County. Officers were able to make contact with Greathouse, who was taken into custody without incident following a short standoff.

Greathouse was arrested for sexual assault and assault, and was transported to the Marion County Jail in Palmyra pending the issuance of an arrest warrant.
