The remnants of tropical storm Patricia could bring much-needed rain to northeast Missouri and western Illinois in the coming week.

National Weather Service forecasters say the week starts with sunny skies Monday, but then a chance of rain moves into the area Monday night, with much better chances of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday and Tuesday night, and still a good chance of rain Wednesday.

The area gets a breather Wednesday night through Friday. Another chance of rain moves in Friday night through Sunday.

High temperatures for week start in the mid 60s, then drop into the mid 50s to low 60s range for the rest of the week.

Lows start the week around 50, drop into the 30s, then bounce back into the upper 40s for the weekend.

Also, don't forget we return to Standard Time at 2 a.m. Sunday, so be sure and turn your clock back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.
