The fall harvest has been delayed a bit by heavy rains in Missouri and Illinois.

Both states got an average of more than two inches of rain in the last week.    In Missouri, just under half of the corn harvest has been completed, with the crop rated at 87 percent good to excellent.    Missouri soybeans are rated at 73 percent good to excellent, but only nine percent of the crop has been harvested.

The corn harvest is only 23 percent completed in Illinois, but was rated well at 83 percent good to excellent.    Illinois soybean producers are two times further along than their Missouri counterparts, with 18 percent of the crop in the bin. Illinois soybeans had a 79 percent good to excellent rating.
