The Adams County Sheriff's Department makes two arrests in separate incidents Tuesday and Wednesday.

An investigation into suspected child abuse results in the arrest of a Quincy woman Tuesday.

Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies received a report in April of suspected abuse of a three month old child who had been transported to Blessing Hospital.

The investigation resulted in the arrest Tuesday of 36 year of Dorinda Heiden.

Heiden is charged with aggravated battery to a child and is lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond.

 

An Ursa man is in the Adams County Jail on sexual assault charges.

Earlier this month, Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies had received a report of sexual assault.

An investigation led to the arrest of 32 year old Richard Ellis at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Ellis is charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

Ellis is in the Adams County Jail on $400,000 bond.
