The City of Quincy along with the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and the Oakley Lindsay Civic Center are asking everyone to go to the web site http://bestoftheroad.com to vote for Quincy as the most beautiful city!  Votes can be cast once a day now through September 3, 2013!

Quincy is currently in third place for Most Beautiful behind Punta Gorda, Florida with 1,944 votes and Arvada, Colorado with 1,579.  Quincy has 1,432 votes.

Rand McNally, Good Sam and USA Today are searching for the Best Small Towns in America and Quincy is in the running for “Most Beautiful”!  This program began in 2011 when five teams from Rand McNally took photos, videos, wrote blogs, met locals and shared their stories.  Travel Channel produced a 1-hour TV special highlighting the program.  The 2013 search will be all-digital and you are asked to participate!

Individuals can upload reviews, photos and Twitter Vine videos to help others see Quincy through their eyes.  You are asked to encourage family, friends and neighbors to vote too!  Everyone is encouraged to let Rand McNally know why Quincy should be on the map and to submit photos to justify the claim!

Finalist towns will be judged based on a number of criteria including:

Following the close of voting on September 3, 2013,  finalists will be announced in mid-September and a judging phase will occur until October 7th, when the 5 winning towns will be announced.
