A July 4th shooting in Quincy has left one person in critical condition and another dead.

Quincy Police responded to the 600 block of College Street at 8:23 p.m. Saturday after reports of shots fired. Police found two 21-year-old subjects suffering from gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at Blessing Hospital. The second was reported to be in critical condition.

The investigation led to the arrest of the alleged shooter, 18-year-old Gavin Masters of Quincy. Investigators believe the suspect and the victims were known acquaintances. Masters was arrested for First Degree Murder and lodged in the Adams County Jail.
