(QUINCY)—Quincy’s board of education approved a 77.5 million dollar budget for the coming school year at Wednesday’s meeting. District officials say the biggest challenge was to balance the budget in accordance with a deficit reduction plan with less money expected from the state.   Board members also voted to hire School Exec Connect—an executive search firm to select a pool of candidates for the vacant superintendant’s job. Their services will cost the district ten thousand dollars.
