(HANNIBAL)—Areas of northeast Missouri served by the Northeast Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross will now be served through the Red Cross chapter in Quincy.

Marion… Ralls… Lewis… Clark… Monroe and Shelby Counties are now included in the Quincy chapter.

Quincy Executive Director Pam Shaffer says the area shares a common culture and vision to serve our communities.  Central Illinois Region CEO Anne Fox says the Quincy Chapter already has strong relationships with volunteers and partners in the Hannibal area and the added area will blend well under Shaffer’s leadership.

The Northeast Missouri Chapter office located in Hannibal was recently closed.  Officials had originally planned to consolidate operations with the St. Louis Regional Office, but later decided the area would be better served by the Quincy Chapter.
