Quincy Police Warn of Social Security Scam

Quincy Police say another phone scam is targeting seniors in this area.
Police say a robo-caller claims to be an officer with the Social Security Administration. The robo-call states that there is a legal enforcement action against your social security number and gives a scam number to call with a Washington D.C. number. Police remind you to just hang up and do not call back. The Social Security Administration will not contact you by phone in reference to legal action. Never give out personal information over the phone.
