(QUINCY)—A man wanted on first degree murder charges following the shooting death of a Quincy man Thursday is in custody. Quincy Police say 44 year old Vincent Carter was taken into custody without incident at a residence on Quincy’s north side around 10:50 this (FR) morning by Quincy Police… Adams County Sheriff’s deputies and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. A warrant charging Carter with First Degree Murder was issued following the death of 53 year old Terry Williams of Quincy. Police say Williams was shot with a small caliber hand gun during an altercation in a residence at 219 South 11th shortly after 3 p-m on Thursday. Williams was pronounced dead a short time later at Blessing Hospital. Police say a second person involved in the altercation fled on foot.

[Original story] - (Quincy, Ill)--Quincy Police say  44 year-old Vincent Carter is wanted in connection with a shooting at a home located at 219 S. 11th Street Thursday afternoon.

A male victim was rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.  Carter was last seen wearing a tan coat when he fled the scene.  He is considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information should call the  Quincy Crimestoppers Hotline at 217-228-4474.
