Quincy Police Release Update on Saturday’s Shooting on Hampshire

The Quincy Police Department began an investigation into a shooting that occurred in the 900 block of Hampshire on Saturday, 09/28/13 at 1704 hours. At the time, a 25 year old male was found inside an apartment suffering from a gun shot wound. The 25 year old male was transported to Blessing Hospital by ambulance.

During the course of the investigation by the Quincy Police Department it was determined the cause of the injury was an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. The subject has been identified as 25 year old, Jackie Richard Hawkins III. He is currently listed in critical condition at Blessing Hospital.
