Quincy Police Investigate Shots Fired Report

A report of shots fired shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday in northwest Quincy is under investigation.

Quincy Police and Adams County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a parking lot at 1034 North Fourth. Officers found numerous shell casings on the east side of the parking lot. An additional shell casing was found in an alley a short distance to the southeast. Police say those involved may include an unknown number of individuals in a dark colored SUV which fled the scene westbound and then southbound on Third. A white male wearing a sweatshirt who ran east may also be involved. You are asked to contact Quincy Police if you have information on this incident.
