Quincy Police Investigate Animal Cruelty Report, One Arrested

On 12/15/15, the Quincy Police Department and a Quincy Animal Control Officer were called to a residence on Granview Dr. to investigate a possible Animal Cruelty report.

The investigation gleaned that a 6 month old kitten had been thrown to the ground and injured. The complainant told police that the kitten had been knocked unconscious. The kitten was taken to a veterinarian where no serious or permanent injuries were found.

Quincy Police subsequently arrested Christopher Gibson for Cruel Treatment to Animals, A Class A Misdemeanor. Gibson was released on a Notice To Appear, with a subsequent court date.
