Quincy Police & Fire Commissioners Resign

All three members of the Quincy Board of Fire and Police Commissioners have resigned.

Mayor Kyle Moore found letters of resignation from Charlie Doan, Dick Wentura and David Ayers on his desk Thursday morning.

Moore said he had planned to make a change on the commission. The mayor had voiced concerns about evaluations of the police and fire chiefs not being completed on a regular basis.

The search for new commissioners will begin immediately.
