Quincy Motorcyclist Seriously Injured

(Quincy, Il)—Emergency personnel respond to an injury accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV at 4th and State Streets in Quincy yesterday (Sat) at 2:33 in the afternoon.  Police say 20 year-old Jacob L. Scranton of Quincy was thrown from the bike as he approached the 4th Street intersection.  Both Scranton and the cycle skidded into the rear of an SUV stopped at the stop sign.  Scranton sustained serious injuries and was taken to Blessing Hospital.  Police say he was wearing a helmet.  The accident remains under investigation.
