A Quincy man is sentenced to federal prison in connection with an Adams County methamphetamine case.

35-year-old Joseph Abbey was sentenced Monday to 163 months in prison in U.S. District Court in Springfield.

Abbey was indicted last March for meth manufacturing from 2011 through 2013.

Abbey was one of five arrested in December of 2013 in connection with the discovery of meth and meth making materials at a residence at 726 1/2 North Fourth in Quincy.

This was Abbey’s second federal drug conviction. He will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.
