Quincy Man Faces Several Charges

(QUINCY)—A Quincy man faces DUI and other charges after he drove away from an attempted traffic stop in Quincy early Monday morning. Quincy Police say they saw the driver of a black SUV committed a traffic violation at 12th and Hampshire. An officer attempted a traffic stop at 1:14 this morning at 8th and Hampshire but the driver refused to pull over. Police reports say he disobeyed several traffic control devices and headed east on Maine at a high rate of speed. Police say the vehicle drove through a yard and hit a light pole before running out of gas on 30th just south of Broadway. Police say 23 year old Cory Calvin was arrested for aggravated fleeing to elude… DUI and numerous traffic violations. Calvin was taken to the Adams County Jail.
