Quincy Man Faces Methamphetamine Charges

A Quincy man is in custody on meth related charges following a search Thursday evening at his residence. Quincy Police say 40 year old Michael Bates of Quincy is charged with aggravated participation in methamphetamine production following a search at 219 South 11th. Officers found meth manufacturing materials and an active meth lab in the apartment. Several items of drug paraphernalia were also located. Bates was taken to the Adams County Jail.
