A Quincy man is in the Marion County Jail awaiting extradition on Adams County felony warrants.

According the Hannibal Police, officers with the Anti-Crime Enforcement Unit made contact with a suspicious-acting man in the 4100 block of Market just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

An investigation revealed that the man, 47 year old Richard Hood of Quincy, had a felony warrant out of Adams County for three counts of criminal sexual assault and unlawful restraint. The bond on the warrant was $250,000 cash.

Hood was unable to post bond and refused to waive extradition to Illinois. He was taken to the Marion County Jail pending extradition.
