Quincy Man Arrested on Methamphetamine Charges

A young Quincy man is in custody after a search at his residence.

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies, West Central Illinois Task Force agents and Quincy Police used a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of South 19th at 12:39 Wednesday afternoon. Deputies say 21-year-old Taylor Hicks was arrested after several items consistent with the use of methamphetamine were located in the residence. Authorities also found multiple rounds of ammunition. Hicks is held in the Adams County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of ammunition without a firearm owner ID card.
