A Quincy man is under arrest on residential burglary, felony theft over 500 dollars and resisting or obstructing a police officer.

Quincy Police say an officer spotted 32-year-old Corey Ostrander at 6:15 p.m. near 5th and Oak. When the officer left his car to arrest Ostrander in an ongoing theft investigation Ostrander fled on foot. Just over an hour later at 7:37, a citizen in the 400 block of Oak reported that he returned home to find an unknown male in his apartment. Police determined that the male was Ostrander and that he fled before officers arrived. Ostrander was located in the 700 block of North 4th following a search and a foot pursuit.

Police say Ostrander was treated at Blessing Hospital for exposure. He wasn’t wearing shoes.
