Quincy Man Arrested on Battery Charges

A Quincy man is facing battery charges following an incident late Thursday night.
Quincy Police were called to the Fifth and Chestnut area at 11:55 p-m on a report of a male hitting a female with a metal pipe. On arrival police located 73 year old Walter Roberts in the 900 block of North Fifth with two metal pipes in his hands. The female victim was found walking in the 800 block of North Fifth with marks on her back and shoulder. Police say she refused medical treatment. Roberts was arrested on a battery charge. Police say he posted cash bond and was released.
