Quincy Man Arrested Following Short Standoff

A Quincy man wanted on outstanding warrants and for questioning following a recent incident involving a firearm is in custody following a brief standoff late Friday afternoon.

Quincy Police officers and Adams County Sheriff’s deputies located 23 year old Tyler McGlaughlin in the 700 block of South 20th. McGlaughlin saw officers approaching and fled into the residence. Authorities made contact with McGlaughlin via cell phone and he agreed to come out of the house after speaking with an officer for several minutes. A search of the residence yielded a firearm… a controlled substance and meth. McGlauglin is held in the Adams County Jail.
