(QUINCY)—Quincy city officials are looking at options for hydropower permits at Lock and Dam 24 and 25.  A previous attempt at a hydropower project ended with the city losing five million dollars. Coastal Hydropower of Canada made a presentation to the Quincy City Council Monday night. Coastal would cover the capital costs. The city would take ownership with Coastal getting a percentage for construction.
Mayor Kyle Moore expects the decision on whether to work with Coastal should come within a month.
