Quincy Hydropower Tabled

(QUINCY)—Quincy city councilmen table a resolution to enter into negotiations with Coastal Hydropower. Aldermen Steve Duesterhaus and Mike Rein were absent. Sixth ward alderman Dan Brink asked that the measure be tabled until the full council can consider the matter. The city council is to decide on whether or not to begin negotiations with Coastal regarding city permits at Locks and Dam 24 and 25, or let those permits expire and be done with hydropower.
