The sale of the Quincy Gems has been finalized.

A group known as Gems BB3, LLC, purchased the Prospect League team from the Quincy Civic Center Authority for a reported $120,000.

The new ownership group consists of Terry Martin, his son Chris, along with Julie and Jimmie Louthan.

Terry Martin had served as Gems’ General Manager for the last two years. Chris Martin has been the Gems’ Manager since 2007. The Louthan’s own JJ’s Catering, which took over the concessions at     QU Stadium this season.

The sale was approved by the Prospect League Wednesday. The Gems are the reigning Prospect League champions.
