For the second time in less than a week, the Quincy Gems buried the Hannibal Cavemen 18-4 Friday night.

Quincy batters jumper on starting pitcher Lake Genard for eleven runs on ten hits in the first two innings, and the Gems never looked back.

While the Cavemen got on the board with a run in the third and three in the eighth, the Gems scored three more in the fifth and four more in the sixth, outhitting Hannibal 17-9.

The Cavemen are back home tonight for an inter-division contest with the Lafayette Aviators at 6:38 p.m. The webcast on khmoradio.com starts at 6:20.
