Quincy Gems 4 Hannibal Cavemen 3 [Audio]

A two run double by Bryan Niedbalski in the top of the first put Quincy ahead. The Gems had a chance for a big inning but Tyler Paule settled down and forced the Gems to leave the bases loaded. Hannibal got on the board as Damon Waller tripled to center and scored on a sacrifice fly by Trevor Kenyon. Hannibal took the lead in the fith on RBI singles by Waller and Drew Morecraft.  Quincy tied the game at 3 in the sixth on a hit by Thomas Richards. In the top of the 9th… Devin Pickett was hit by a pitch… he advanced on a wild pitch and an infield out to set up Nick Roscetti…

Carl Brice took the loss for Hannibal. Jake Busiek gets the win in relief. Joseph Mortillaro gets his second save. Quincy is 5-0… the Cavemen are 0-5.  Quincy @ Terre Haute tonight. Cavemen are idle.
