A traffic stop on North 4th between Broadway and Spring at 7:26 Thursday evening results in the arrest of the Quincy fugitive of the week. Quincy Police say 23-year-old Julius Hayes fled from the vehicle on foot. The pursuit went over fences, through back yards and along shed rooftops before Hayes was cornered at 706 North 4th where he opened the door and entered the residence. Officers were able to prevent Hayes from closing the door and he was subdued with use of a taser.

Police say Hayes was evaluated at Blessing Hospital for any injuries and taken to the Adams County Jail.

Hayes was wanted on outstanding warrants for failure to appear on charges of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and a city ordinance violation of failure to appear for possession of marijuana.
