Quincy City Council Moves Toward Approval of Marijuana Dispensary

The Quincy City Council moved closer to clearing the way for a medical marijuana dispensary in the city.

The council Monday night heard from the plan commission with a report recommending the city approve a zoning change that would allow for dispensary east of 48th and Broadway.

The council accepted the commission’s recommendation and will have an ordinance drafted to make the change official.

The first reading of the ordinance is set for next week.
