Quincy City Council Approves Property Tax Hike

(QUINCY)— Quincy’s  City Council approves a 3 percent increase in property taxes to address pension obligations for firefighters and police. Alderman Mike Rein was absent so Mayor Kyle Moore had to break a tie vote.  Quincy will also dip into the general fund for 215-thousand dollars to recover remaining costs.
