Quincy Bank Robber Arrested in Florida

(Quincy, Ill)--Today, a warrant for the arrest of Willie B. Franklin was issued in Adams County for robbery. Franklin has been charged in the December 26^th robbery of First Mid Illinois Bank and Trust in Quincy. Franklin is a suspect in at least nine separate bank robberies in the Midwest.

Franklin was taken into custody by federal authorities in Florida earlier this week, and is awaiting other charges. Adams County States Attorney Jon Barnard says Franklin will likely face  Federal charges in conjunction with the robberies. A Bond for 500 thousand dollars has been set on the Adams County warrant.
