Proposed Route for Power Line Announced by Clean Line

Grain Belt Express Clean Line officially releases a proposed route for an overhead power transmission line from Kansas across Missouri and Illinois to points east. Affected counties in the area are Chariton, Randolph, Monroe and Ralls.

Clean Line says they began gathering stakeholder input in 2011 with a series of round table meetings across Missouri.

Since last July, Clean Line says over 13-hundred people attended public open houses or submitted route input on line or via telephone. The project still requires regulatory approval in Missouri and Illinois.
