Property Damage Investigation in Monroe City

Monroe City Police are investigating several damage reports in the south part of town.
Police say on their Facebook page that the damage is along the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks. Officers say the suspect is described as a white male around 50 years old with a long reddish gray beard and around 5’10” with a medium build. Police say the man has been seen wearing a green hoodie… dark pants and no shoes. Authorities recommend locking your vehicles and residences in that area and they advise against attempting to make contact with the subject.
